When Anne joined Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central and Southern Interior of BC in 2023, she brought with her not only years of experience, but a deep-rooted belief in the power of mentorship.
Anne’s connection to the organization began earlier in her career, working with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Kamloops from 2003 to 2008. That foundation shaped her approach—grounded in empathy, consistency, and a strong understanding of what meaningful mentorship looks like over time.
In her role as a Mentoring Coordinator, Anne leads both the Social Emotional Learning (SEL) and Teen Mentoring Programs, helping youth build confidence, strengthen emotional awareness, and develop the skills needed to navigate life’s challenges.
But the impact in Kamloops is not built by one person alone.
Working alongside Anne is Hayley, whose energy, leadership, and commitment have been instrumental in shaping the growth of programming in the region. Hayley brings a strong connection to the youth and community she serves, consistently going above and beyond to ensure programs are engaging, accessible, and impactful.
Together, Anne and Hayley have formed a truly dynamic partnership. Where Anne brings depth of experience and perspective, Hayley brings momentum and drive—creating a balance that has allowed programs to not only run effectively, but to grow.
Through their combined efforts, they have significantly expanded mentoring opportunities in Kamloops, reaching more youth and strengthening the quality of programming across the board. Their collaboration has led to stronger school partnerships, more consistent program delivery, and a deeper level of support for the young people they serve.
Their work is a testament to what happens when strong leadership and shared purpose come together.
Because of Anne and Hayley, mentorship in Kamloops is not just continuing—it’s evolving, expanding, and reaching more youth than ever before.
